Soon after finishing university and starting a career I came to the realization that there was so much more I wanted to see and do before I got stuck in a dull routine, with a tedious job, massive debt, and no room for escape. So I made a change.
A friend reached out and recommended that I join her on a trip through Asia. It was a scary proposition, but I saved for 6 months, quit my job, and headed off. Travel, as it turns out, was my true passion. Our plan to spend 3 or 4 months traveling turned into 8 months in Asia. I then headed to Australia for a year, New Zealand for two, and so much more.
I love traveling, and I want to help inspire others to realize the pleasures and possibilities that are out there if you’re just willing to step out of your comfort zone. The hardest part of long-term travel is the decision to go. You’re friends and family may think you’re crazy, but in my experience, they only wish they had the courage to take that first step along with you.
